CREDENTIALS
Dr. Chris Santangelo graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Rochester in 2000 with a degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Buffalo’s School of Medicine before doing his Psychiatry residency training at Georgetown University Hospital. He served as the Chief Resident at Georgetown in 2003.
He remained at Georgetown and served as the Assistant Medical Director for the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and the Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program for three years. During that time, he also saw patients in the Psychopharmacology clinic. He is now working full-time at his private practice office in Dupont Circle, but continues to teach medical students at Georgetown University as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry.
Dr. Santangelo is certified through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of both the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association.
